The opponent was Prof. Kilian Muniz from the Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) in Spain. The defence started with a presentation of Erik's thesis by the opponent. |
| Then the question part begun, and Erik and Kilian had a very interesting discussion on a range of topics related to the thesis. |  |

| The examination committee consisted of Prof. Anna Linusson, Umeå University, Prof. Sascha Ott, Uppsala University, and Assoc. Prof. Daniel Strand, Lund University. Prof. Pher Andersson from Stockholm University was the chair person and reserve member. | |
