| Continuing the new tradition started in Åre last winter - |
a winter meeting for young organic chemists was held in March. The combination of chemistry presentations, informal discussions & skiing is ideal for network-building and collaboration ideas. This year the meeting was held in Laisaliden, close to Hemavan in the very north of Sweden. The isolated location and fine surroundings were great, especially in combination with the perfect weather! |

| Skiing: |

| The group was splitted into downhill skiiers, cross country skiiers and "gå på tur" skiiers. The last thing involves going upphill, staying on the mountain for a while and then ski down on untouched snow, using cross country-like equipment. |

| We got lunch sandwiches from the hotel, and even had an open fire during the lunch break! |
We also had access to a very nice spa facility with an outdor bathtub (badtunna). |
