Our research interests concern the fields of organic synthesis, organometallic chemistry, and asymmetric catalysis.
Our goals are:
- Design of new catalytic processes for the construction of C-C and of C-X bonds with an emphasis on the stereo- and enantioselectivity.
- Synthesis of inexpensive and environmentally friendly metal complexes and organocatalysts.
- Heterogeneous catalysis using metal-organic frameworks (www.exselent.su.se).
- Mechanistic studies.
- Application of the methodology to the total synthesis of biologically active compounds.
